Eko33 - JeanJacques Duclaux’s new project, Corpus Algorithmica, emerges from what he calls “code archaeology,” a process of excavating the human psyche through the residues of data and algorithms. Trained in sociology and psychology, Duclaux has long been fascinated by how people think and behave, first through large-scale digital experiments that reached millions online, and now through art that transforms data’s hidden biases, fantasies, and collective memories into visual form. His artistic turn stems from a belief that art is the ultimate form of marketing, not a transaction, but an experience that speaks to the highest human needs. Beneath this pursuit also lies a personal narrative of loss and resilience. In untitled, Duclaux channels this tension between control and understanding, reason and emotion. Where his earlier works leaned toward rational geometry, his recent use of AI, strangely, introduces a more human, almost fragile expressiveness. This emotional mirror reflects both individual and collective consciousness. The machine becomes a medium for exploring our own cognitive biases and emotional architectures, producing images that pulse with the complexity of being close but more distant than ever.
