ARTXCODE Announces Representation of Bjørn Staal

New York City, February 6, 2026 — ARTXCODE is pleased to announce the representation of Bjørn Staal, an Oslo-based artist and software developer whose work explores the dynamic intersections between computational systems, human perception, and behavior.

With more than a decade of experience at the forefront of experimental art and technology, Staal co-founded the acclaimed studio Void in 2015, where he developed large-scale interactive installations that have international recognition. Since 2023, he has focused on his independent practice, examining how algorithms shape our understanding of what it means to be human in an age where increasing amounts of our agency are outsourced to technological systems.

Working with JavaScript, GLSL, WebGL, and AI frameworks, Staal creates work that spans generative visual systems, robotic installations, and interactive experiences—seamlessly bridging digital and physical realms. His practice combines technical virtuosity with philosophical inquiry, transforming computational processes into meditations on autonomy, perception, and the evolving relationship between humans and machines.

His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in both online and physical exhibitions, as well as installations in public spaces. In September 2024, he presented his first solo exhibition at Wintercircus in Ghent, Belgium, marking a significant milestone in his independent practice.
